Geetanagar Jaycees Celebrates World Environment Day with Tree Planting

Chitwan, Nepal:

On June 6th, Geetanagar Jaycees joined hands with the community to commemorate World Environment Day. The organization actively participated in a tree planting and weeding program along the Geetanagar Lions footpath, demonstrating their commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.

Geetanagar Jaycees contributed to a greener and healthier community by planting new trees and tending to existing ones. The event not only beautified the footpath but also helped to improve air quality, prevent soil erosion, and provide habitat for local wildlife.

The tree planting initiative aligned with the global theme of World Environment Day, which focused on solutions to plastic pollution. While the specific activity of Geetanagar Jaycees was centred around tree planting, it complemented the broader goal of promoting sustainable practices and reducing our environmental footprint.

The participation of Geetanagar Jaycees in this event highlights their dedication to community service and environmental stewardship. Their actions serve as an inspiration to others to take steps towards a more sustainable future.
